Henrique Gomide begann seine musikalische Ausbildung mit klassischer Musik und brasilianischer Musik, bevor er die Welt des Jazz entdeckte. All diese Einflüsse finden sich in seinem neuen Album wieder, das sich zwischen brasilianischen Rhythmen und freier Improvisation bewegt.

Der Pianist aus São Paulo, der seit fast einem Jahrzehnt in Köln lebt, hat mit seinem Trio Caixa Cubo acht Alben veröffentlicht und ist in mehr als zwanzig Ländern auf Bühnen wie Jazz à Vienne (Frankreich), Jazzahead! (Deutschland), Nefertiti (Schweden) und CCFM (Mosambik) aufgetreten.
Gomide hat mit renommierten brasilianischen Musikern wie Yamandu Costa, Guinga, Mateus Aleluia und Paulo Bellinatti gespielt.
In Europa arbeitet der Pianist häufig mit Musikern wie Matthias Schriefl, Céline Rudolph, Tony Lakatos und anderen zusammen.

Pianist Henrique Gomide presents his first solo album Portais (Challenge Records) with music by Brazilian composers such as Guinga, Edu Lobo, Ary Barroso, Garoto and Chico Buarque.

Henrique Gomide began his musical training with classical music and Brazilian music before discovering the world of jazz. All these influences can be found in his new album, which moves between Brazilian rhythms and free improvisation.

The pianist from São Paulo, who has lived in Cologne for almost a decade, has released eight albums with his trio Caixa Cubo and has performed in more than twenty countries on stages such as Jazz à Vienne (France), Jazzahead! (Germany), Nefertiti (Sweden) and CCFM (Mozambique).
Gomide has played with renowned Brazilian musicians such as Yamandu Costa, Guinga, Mateus Aleluia and Paulo Bellinatti.
