Foofwa d'Imobilité studierte an der Ecole de Dance de Genève und tanzte im Ballet Junior, Ballett Stuttgart (1987 -1990) und in der Merce Cunningham Dance Company in New York (1991-1998).

Gemeinsam mit Thomas Lebrun entstanden: ‚Le Show’ (2001), ‚Un-Twomen-Show’ (2004) und ‚MIMESIX’ (2005). Zwischen 2005 und 2008 entstanden u.a. ‚Benjamin de Bouillis’(2005), ‚BodyToys’(2007) und ‚The Making of Spectacles’ (2008). Foofwa d'Imobilité produzierte viele Tanz-Videos und arbeitete mit Künstlern wie Alan Sondheim, Nicolas Rieben, Christian Marclay and Antoine Lengo zusammen. Vom Nederlands Dans Theater 2, dem Bern Ballet und dem Ballet Junior, wurde er mit großen Gruppenchoreographien beauftragt. Er erhielt viele internationale Auszeichnungen, unter anderem den Prix de Lausanne (1987), den New York Bessie Award (1995) und den Schweizer Tanz- und Choreographiepreis (2006).

Foofwa d'Imobilité studied at the Ecole de Danse de Genève and danced with the Ballet Junior. He danced professionally with the Stuttgart Ballet in Germany (1987-1990) and with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, in New-York (1991-1998).
In 1998, he started his own work with solos and duets. Based in Geneva he founded Neopostist Ahrrrt Association in 2000 and created : ‘Media Vice Versa’ (2002), ‘Perform.dancerun.2’ (2003) and ‘Injuria’ (2004). He collaborated on three pieces with Thomas Lebrun: ‘Le Show’ (2001), ‘Un-Twomen-Show’ (2004) and ‘MIMESIX’ (2005). Between 2005 and 2008 he created among others ‚Benjamin de Bouillis’ (2005), ‚BodyToys’ (2007) and ‚The Making of Spectacles’ (2008).
Foofwa d’Imobilité made numerous dance-videos and collaborated with many artists such as Alan Sondheim, Nicolas Rieben, Christian Marclay and Antoine Lengo and has been commissioned large group pieces by the Nederlands Dans Theater 2, the Bern Ballet and the Ballet Junior. He won several international competitions, among which the 1987 Prix de Lausanne, the 1995 New York Bessie Award and the 2006 Swiss Prize for dance and choreography.
