The film looks beneath the controversial Hollywood myth and makes Bette Davis come to life, featuring intimate interviews with people who knew the star later in life - including the director of her last film, Larry Cohen, fellow actress Gena Rowlands and, among others, the writer who offered Bette Davis to stay at her house during a hotel strike in New York - just for a night or two... - but Bette Davis loved to surprise everybody.
