Culture Bite - A Series of Monologues brought to you by The English Theatre of Hamburg. Episode 8

Synopsis

A Series of Monologues brought to you by The English Theatre of Hamburg.

As a big thank you to our loyal and faithful audience, we have created a new social media and online format over the past few weeks to serve you with small CULTURE BITES in the meantime.

Some well-known actors who have performed with us in recent years, as well as a line-up of actors new to our theatre, who we have invited to take part, will present a short monologue to you every Sunday. These will be free to watch beginning Sunday 02.05.21 on our homepage or on our Facebook page.

This week with Angus Villiers

Angus trained at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (BA Hons Acting) where credits include: John Proctor in THE CRUCIBLE, Paris and Gregory in ROMEO AND JULIET, Nikolai Zamislov in SUMMER FOLK and Father/Jacob in THE STREET OF CROCODILES in Birmingham and Budapest. Angus made his professional debut after graduating in 2016 as Caius Martius in CORIOLANUS, Bourbon and The Archbishop of Canterbury in HENRY V (The Cambridge Shakespeare Festival). In 2017 Angus returned to the festival to win critical acclaim as Don Pedro in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and Oberon and Duke Theseus in A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM. He has also performed in Theatre in Education across England with companies such as Chaplins and Alter Ego. Other theatre credits include his work with Lying Lips Theatre Company playing the part of SS officer Peter Fanck, as well as a Kapo and a young Jewish man in KANADA by Nathalie Bazan (Old Joint Stock Theatre). Angus’ voice over work featured in Radio Times mentions his contributions to Luke Oliver’s ODE TO A TIMELORD and he has also been busy recording professional projects at Pinewood Studios. Angus has just completed playing the lead as Jack Chesney in CHARLEY’S AUNT (The Attic Theatre) and is now delighted to be performing with The English Theatre of Hamburg as Arthur Kipps in WOMAN IN BLACK.
