My friends in Greece are my access to another, maybe a foreign world. Although I grew up and live in Germany they always gave me the feeling to be part of their world, to be home in Greece. But all the change in their lives through the economic crisis let our worlds move apart. I think I don’t quite understand them any longer. But if I don’t understand my friends, then l fear loosing connection to Greece. I met my friends last summer and talked with them about their lives in the crisis Greece is experiencing the last years. They explain and show a country that is falling apart. Emotionally and very intimate they draw a picture of a generation without any future left.
