Synopsis

Shakespeare's text remains but the setting for the perennial tragedy of young love has been updated by Strictly Ballroom director Baz Luhrmann to the mob-ruled, modern-day Verona Beach. Here, the Montagues and the Capulets continue their feud - against a backdrop of designer guns, customised cars and incessant music.
