Kattalin Newiger Mitxelena and her team explore the concept of weightlessness from the perspectives of choreography and dance history. With the means of music, sculpture and dance, they create a poetic, weightless space on stage. Bodies shed the social order of an above and below.Kattalin Newiger Mitxelenastudied BA Theatre and Education in Mainz and La Réunion, France and MA Performance Studies, Dance and Choreography in Hamburg and Bilbao, Spain. As a choreographer and dancer, she explores the human body in its somatic experience of utopian-futuristic arrangements. As a multimedia artist, she works with the b/w*itch collective on queer-feminist soft spaces and forms of wandering.
