Rehearsals and choreography take place behind closed doors and the audience usually only gets to see the finished pieces. In the workshop format Probebühne Eins, the studio doors are opened and the rehearsal is brought to the stage. Dance fans have the exclusive opportunity to catch a glimpse of the creation of contemporary dance productions. Hamburg choreographers show excerpts from productions in progress and try out their ideas in front of an audience. The current K3 choreographers in residence Aloali’i Tapu, Eng Kai Er and Enad Marouf as well as ukrainian choreographer Daniella Preap will also give insights into their work.
