Most recently, Patricia Carolin Mai staged a choreography with more than a hundred dancers on our big stage and is part of various large-scale community projects. Her new solo work KOMM GUCKEN is therefore almost like a moment of introspection and artistic reflection. KOMM GUCKEN is a choreographic monologue in which Patricia Carolin Mai has invited seven choreographers to take part in the rehearsal process: Hamburg-based artists Antje Pfundtner, René*e Reith and Gifty Lartey, Angela Alves from Berlin, Esl Kim from Seoul, Connor Schumacher from Rotterdam and Katarina Verstockt from Antwerp. Together, they explore the question of how gazes shape our social structures and how the gaze on bodies can change.
