In the theatre sight usually comes before hearing: Aural perception is secondary to visual. With this in mind, Hamburg choreographer Lucia Glass has developed a piece, with which she wants to invert the traditional reception pattern. In THE SOUND OF IT movement is not only visual but more than anything it is audible. The performance reveals itself to the spectator through the ears and hearing. While the space between virtual actors and real performers is recorded, the spectator – equipped with headphones – experiences a new, fascinating arrangement of the senses. Movement becomes audible and visible as Lucia Glass arranges auditory events into an audible choreography.
