The forms of artistic collaboration are as diffe-rent as the concepts that designate them (colla-boration, collective, team work etc.). The discussion will shed light on and differentiate these different models of cooperative work as well as their designations. A special focus is placed on the model of “heterarchy”, in which – as opposed to hierarchy – the roles of everyone involved are not predetermined, but evolve dynamically in the work process.
