Damián Torío wurde in Madrid geboren und erhielt seine Ausbildung am Konservatorium für Tanz Mariemma in seiner Heimatstadt. Außerdem tanzte er in Choreographien von William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Jirí Kylián und Demis Volpi.

His education was supplemented by summer courses at the America Ballet Theater and the English National Ballet, among others. From 2013 to 2021 he danced, initially under the direction of Julio Bocca and later under Igor Yebra, at the Ballet Nacional del Sodre in Montevideo, Uruguay.
