Matthias Höfele (1. Solo-Klarinettist) studierte von 1983–1987 an der Musikhochschule Karlsruhe Klarinette (Prof. W. Meyer) und Klavier (J. Scherrer) und an der Musikhochschule Trossingen von 1987–1989 bei Prof. W. Wandel (Klarinette). 1988 wurde Matthias Höfele stellvertretender Solo-Klarinettist im Schleswig-Holsteinischen Landestheater und Sinfonieorchester GmbH, Flensburg, 1994 Solo-Klarinettist an der Komischen Oper Berlin und ist in gleicher Position seit der Spielzeit 1999 im Orchester der Deutschen Oper Berlin.
